About James

James began his career in 2004 as a freelance chef for Williams Sonoma. He’s made appearances at the former Flagship location in Manhattan on 59th street as well as their current Flagship store, also located in Manhattan at Columbus Circle. In 2005 he was hired as the seasonal Chef for the Upper Montclair, NJ location, from October through December. Several of his popular soups featured were his Pumpkin Tomato Bisque, Sweet Potato & Honey Bisque and a Pepper jack & Potato Corn Chowder with sweet yellow corn.

Several twists to his Thanksgiving items included a Turkey marinated and glazed with fresh orange juice, honey, soy sauce and ginger. Appetizers featuring left over turkey day items, such as turkey and pepper jack quesadillas, and black Friday panini sandwiches with his featured stuffing, turkey breast, and smoked gouda cheese. Both items were highlighted with a sweet & spicy cranberry barbecue sauce.

‘Working with Williams Sonoma over the years has helped my career tremendously. I’ve had the experience to promote their cookware, baking products such as their springform, cake and tart pans, and to incorporate my own recipes and creativity into foods and desserts that tie in with their products. What has helped me the most, wether doing a cooking demo, or making an appearance to promote a product, was my interaction with hundreds of people and at the same time have them taste my foods and desserts, and listen to their feedback. I believe the most honest opinions come from complete strangers. Its helped my confidence both personally and as a chef.’

In addition to his work with this popular retailer James has gained experience as a personal chef and caterer. Affiliations for his catered events include the Newcomers Club of South Orange and Maplewood, The South Orange Historic & Preservation Society, The Dogs of Vernon, and ISBOG (Informal Small Business Owner Group) of Sussex County.
